What can my family do at C’mon?

There’s something new to do every day at C’mon! The Museum is packed with 38,000 square feet of interactive exhibits. These  hands-on exhibits provide plenty of fun and learning. To see what’s going on during the day of your visit, check out our online calendar. Remember, there is plenty for tykes two and under too!

What cleaning procedures are in place following COVID 19?

Due to changes in the recommendation for limiting the spread of COVID-19 the following procedures are currently in place at C’mon:

  • Admission tickets must be purchased online in advance of entry, at specified date/time periods to limit the capacity of visitors in the museum. See cmon.org/visit/hours-admission  for details.
  • All visitors will be required to use hand sanitizer prior to entry.
  • In accordance with CDC recommendations, all visitors ages 4 and up, and staff will be required to wear a face mask. If you need an accommodation, please email info@cmon.org.
  • All visitors should maintain proper social distancing (6 feet) from others.
  • C’mon will sanitize the Museum and loose parts between each timed entry period.
  • C’mon will provide sanitation wipes and hand sanitizer at various locations within the Museum for visitor use.
  • The C’mon café has been closed. Visitors can purchase snacks and drinks within the Museum Store to be consumed on the patio in front of C’mon.
What’s going on today?

There are many new activities every day. Check out our online calendar to see what we are highlighting today. Plus, don’t forget we have exciting permanent exhibits and a traveling exhibit space, which is constantly changing.

What age range is appropriate?

C’mon is for the young and young at heart, but specifically, we target children from birth to age 14 and their families. Each of our exhibits, experiences and programs have been designed to engage a broad range of children’s ages and interests. Our Curious Kids exhibit is limited to children eight years and older with no adults allowed. Our ABC Tot Lot exhibit is limited to children three years and younger with their caretaker allowed.

How long does a visit take?

There is no exact answer to this question. It all depends on your child’s age and interests. First time visitors can spend up to four hours while out-of-town guests make visit several days in a row. We are a one-stop for family fun!

Can I drop off my child for the day and leave? Do I have to be with my child at all times?

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Any unaccompanied child will be escorted to the Welcome Center to remain there until a parent or caretaker is located. The child will not be allowed to leave the Museum until a parent or guardian picks up the child.

When can I avoid crowds?

Arrive early to avoid crowds. Mornings are an excellent time for infant/toddler group play and for parents to socialize with other parents within the exhibits. During the school year, a visit after 1:30pm avoids school field trip groups. Our busiest times tend to happen during the weekend.

Can I bring outside food into the Museum? Is there food available?

We ask that visitors do not bring food into the Museum. You may choose from a healthy and varied selection of food items in our Garden Café. We also ask visitors to not eat in the exhibit galleries. There are tables available in the Garden Café and outside in the Johnsonville Backyardville exhibit.

The Garden Café offers a number of dining choices, made with fresh ingredients and preservative-free breads: Ham, turkey and other cold sandwiches Chicken wraps Various salads Build your own ham/turkey lunches

Is there a place to park my stroller?

Yes, directly outside Mother Nature’s House, next to the rocking chairs is a place to park your stroller. Visitors may also store items in the locker room beside the elevator. View our Museum Map for more information (link to museum map).

Do you provide tours of C′mon?

Yes. If you are interested in a tour of C’mon, you may register for a specific date and time to stop by. A Museum staff member will provide a guided tour of the building and answer any questions you may have during designated tour time. Tours are free of cost and for adults only, self-guided tours are not available, only ten spaces per tour available. To see available tour dates, click here.

If you are interested in scheduling a tour highlighting the Museum’s accessibility for children with special needs, please call (239) 514-0084.
