CURRENT POSITIONS

Human Resources and Volunteer Manager

Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager works closely with all departments to ensure the Museum has a high-functioning workforce with both paid and volunteer positions. This person recruits and retains qualified employees and volunteers and manages all aspects of payroll and benefits. 

Reports to: CEO

Notes: This is a full-time position which requires occasional after hours and weekend work as needed.

Visitor Experience Manager

Job Summary: The Visitor Experience Manager position is a full-time position supporting the mission of CMON. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily visitor experience to ensure that it is dynamic, educational, engaging, and relevant to the museum’s mission. This position is responsible for the management of all POS locations and the oversight of all Visitor Experience Team as it relates to scheduling, training, and supervision. 

Reports to: Chief Operations and Education Officer 

Notes: This position requires weekend availability on a regular basis.

Art Educator

Job Summary:The Art Educator is responsible for developing, leading, and overseeing the museum’s visual art programs both in the museum and in the community.  The Art Educator is responsible for developing unique, hands-on, inquiry-based programs, teaching, and curricula that serve a diverse community.

Reports to: Museum Education Manager

Notes: This full-time hourly position (40 hours per week) with benefits includes evening and weekend hours. It is a year-round position, including summers.

Fall Semester Education Department Intern

Job Summary: As an intern you will provide assistance in the museum and classroom, helping children discover real world connections through a variety of teaching practices, you will promote learning that extends beyond the museum and classroom. You will provide much-needed assistance to the museum in order to ensure the delivery of a high standard of education to the children and the community whilst under the supervision of professional teachers.

Reports to: Museum Education Manager

Notes:This work is in an office environment. Limited local travel involved to assist with events.
